I chose to install this myself since I already did the clutch mod. I purchased the GYTR kit from my local dealer and watched the videos on YouTube. I am not going to lie, this is a fairly difficult job, I would say about a 7 out of 10 for a backyard mechanic. I have been in a handful of atv motors and transmissions, plus was a pretty big gear head in my younger days. If you have not done any mods yet, my advice, send the whole thing to Weller. I chose to do my project over thanksgiving weekend, this made it difficult to find someone with a hydraulic press, required for this procedure. There is also case and shift fork mods that need to be done for this gear install, you will need a die grinder. Now here is what is amazing, Kyle was available thanksgiving weekend and walked me through these modifications. He answered several of my questions, sending back pictures of what needed to be done. That is amazing! It's winter in Idaho, so I have not had a chance to take this for a big test, but driving around neighborhood, I will say it is a must have. If you need to go through slower terrain, you will burn up the clutch, it's gonna happen. The wide ratio tranny is a game changer. I love having the lower gears, and not being wound out at higher speeds. Weller customer service is THE BEST!
